More about Songsin T.
Songsin T.: between story and image
Songsin Tiewsomboon works with both words and drawing. These practices meet in graphic novels as well as independent images. His painting can therefore make a single scene feel like a moment from a larger story whose beginning and ending remain beyond the sheet.
In the works represented at ArtComburo, a character or an isolated structure occupies only part of a landscape. Forest, water, sky and distance establish the pace of looking. A soft palette allows small events to become visible without turning them into a loud narrative. Titles offer a direction for interpretation but do not replace a close reading of the image itself.
This selection concerns printed editions. The technique of an original painting cannot automatically be assigned to a print, nor can one subject’s specifications establish those of another. Check the individual product page for the title, paper, dimensions, edition and framing. The works can complement a quiet room or a collection shaped around journeys, waiting and small character-based stories.
