More about Paintings & Prints
Contemporary paintings and prints
The ArtComburo collection brings together paintings, artist prints and art posters. Compare subjects, techniques and surfaces: transparent colour layers, graphic outlines, painted texture or paper. Look for details that reward a closer view.
Prints by Gongkan bring the human figure into a relationship with space, while landscapes by Suntur offer a different scale of observation. Their collaboration There Are Some Reasons Why We Become Friends appears here. Works by Arkiv Vilmansa, Javier Calleja and Popkapi offer comparisons between expressive characters, a gaze and a painted composition.
Paintings, limited-edition prints and art posters
A painting has its own medium and support, such as acrylic on canvas. For a printed edition, check the printing technique, paper, sheet dimensions and edition size. Giclée and screen printing are different processes; the word “print” alone establishes neither a fixed edition size nor a signature.
A limited edition has a stated edition size, but numbering, signatures and certificates must be checked for the individual listing. An art poster may also reproduce an artist’s work without having the same specifications as a numbered print. Read product details rather than judging by appearance.
For a collection, an interior or an art gift
Start with wall proportions and viewing distance. Image, sheet and framed dimensions can differ. Interior photographs help suggest placement, while close-ups reveal surface details. Check framing, price and availability in the selected work’s description.
A thoughtful gift reflects personal interests: an artist, a meaningful subject or colours that suit a space. A collection can develop through comparisons between one artist’s works or different approaches to a shared theme.

Their pages bring together available works and an introduction to their practice.
You can also explore works by Takashi Murakami and compare his flower compositions with other approaches to contemporary printed art.
Selecting art for an interior project
Interior designers can compare a work with wall width, furniture height and the surrounding palette. For a group of works, coordinate spacing and the outer dimensions of the frames. Sheet dimensions do not always equal framed dimensions; if the latter are not listed, confirm them before planning placement.
Art as a personal gift
Choose a subject or artist that matters to the recipient, rather than matching only the room’s colours. If they already collect prints, compare the technique and edition with their collection. When setting a budget, check whether framing is included and confirm availability of the chosen work before a special date.
