More about Gufram
Radical design since 1966
Founded in Turin in 1966, Gufram developed among architects and artists experimenting with radical design. Enlarged everyday images, humour and unconventional materials replaced familiar expectations of furniture.
Polyurethane allows many of its objects to combine soft material with unexpected forms. The hand-applied Guflac® finish is an important feature of many designs. Gufram describes its iconic pieces as domestic sculptures.
Bocca, Pratone and Cactus
Studio65’s lip-shaped Bocca sofa appeared in 1970. Pratone, designed by Giorgio Ceretti, Pietro Derossi and Riccardo Rosso in 1971, enlarged grass into a place to recline. Guido Drocco and Franco Mello’s Cactus of 1972 gave a coat stand a plant-like silhouette.
Cactus and the Andy Warhol Foundation
ArtComburo presents Another Green, Another White, grey Boring Cactus and black Nerocactus. Edition terms differ: not every Cactus is a limited release.
Andy’s Cactus Orange, Green and White were developed with the Andy Warhol Foundation. The 2025 colour editions reference Warhol’s late self-portraits, while the original form remains the work of Drocco and Mello.
