BE@RBRICK BAPE × Steven Harrington Shark Pink 1000%

BE@RBRICK BAPE × Steven Harrington Shark Pink 1000% is a three-way project between A BATHING APE, MEDICOM TOY and Los Angeles artist Steven Harrington. A pink base combines BAPE’s Shark mouth with cartoon-like figures and flowing, coloured shapes.

Harrington designed a custom pattern named Future Retro specifically for this project. Rather than a regular camouflage repeat, the surface reads as a dense drawing in which smaller characters and curved forms emerge at close range. The Shark graphic keeps the connection to BAPE visible within the artist’s imagery.

The contributions are distinct: BAPE supplies its streetwear identity and Shark motif, Harrington creates the custom artwork, and MEDICOM TOY produces the BE@RBRICK. This is therefore more than a change of colour to a standard Camo Shark design. The official BAPE description also specifies ABS for the figure.

The 1000% version gives the all-over pattern enough room to be read both as an overall silhouette and as a collection of individual graphic details. It can be compared with the Tiger releases, which use a different mouth motif and the TIGER lettering.
