More about Character Editions
Character Editions: familiar images as collectible figures
Character Editions is the ArtComburo selection organised around the character. Mario, Panda, Pino, Garfield, Popeye and other figures appear in different interpretations. Some are recognised through their silhouette; others through an unusual colour, costume or combination of motifs.
This is a selection of character designs rather than the name of a single manufacturer. The artist, brand, material and edition details belong to each individual product. Similar characters do not necessarily share the same origin, dimensions or accessories.
Fools Paradise, ZCWO and artist-led series
Fools Paradise’s Super Professional series combines a recognisable Mario-inspired figure with cinematic references, costumes and decorative finishes. Pino and Honmono Taiketsu bring fairy-tale imagery into contact with fashion, accessory design and collecting culture. ZCWO also presents Popeye figures and BunnyS eXquisite. LTNC Studio is a separate reference for the Dead Liberty series.
Colour and scale change the impression
Start with the character filter. Compare the different scales of Mario X-Large and Mario Essential, or the finishes within Panda and Pino. Colour names provide a useful starting point, while the photographs show the relationship between tones and surface textures.
A large figure can stand as an individual object in a room. On a smaller shelf, width and depth matter as much as height: raised arms, headwear or accessories can extend beyond the main silhouette. Compare the listed dimensions with the intended display area and allow space around the piece.
What to check before ordering
Open the product page to review the available views, specifications, price and availability. Interior photographs show possible arrangements; neighbouring objects are not included automatically. Packaging, documentation and edition information apply only to the specific release for which they are stated.
A familiar character can be a useful starting point for a gift. Then consider the colour and scale that suit the recipient’s space and taste. For a wider comparison, explore POP MART figures and designer art toys and objects at ArtComburo.
Choosing a gift for a collector
Start with a character the recipient already collects and check which versions they do not own. Compare colour, height and accessories with their collection: a different colourway of a familiar character may be more relevant than an unrelated figure. For a first art toy, it also helps to know where it will be displayed.
For interior designers: scale and placement
Alongside the figure’s height, compare shelf width, console depth and viewing distance. One large character and a group of compact figures create different compositions. Set a budget and required date, then confirm availability of the specific version before ordering.
