Exclusive Art Toys

Artist-created characters and collectible objects

Exclusive Art Toys is ArtComburo’s selection where character sculpture meets the design of everyday objects. It includes compact shelf figures, large TUD objects, lamps and functional Gufram works. Attention to image, material and the history of a particular release connects them, rather than a single scale or technique.

Different visual languages

Joan Cornellà brings recognisable comic scenes into three-dimensional objects, while 2CHOEY builds Fingies characters around hand gestures. Vexx combines SpongeBob’s familiar image with sculpted colourful doodles. Noinah connects Ame and Cocoa through a shared world and palette; Popterror develops its own EQSO character. Compare these approaches through form, pose and their treatment of pop culture.

In collaborations, distinguish the character’s creator, the artist of a new version and the object’s manufacturer. For example, Osamu Tezuka created Astro Boy, while ToyQube reinterprets him in DJ and Chrome Hoodie editions.

From art toys to functional design

Some objects in this category do more than stand in a display cabinet. Light changes the experience of TIDE Pillow, Sleepy Venus and other lamps. Gufram works with furniture, mirrors and sculptural coat stands, bringing radical design into living spaces. Check the chosen product card for its purpose, power requirements and specific functions.

Comparing editions

Begin with the artist and image, then check material and dimensions. Height alone is not enough: large figures and wide design objects need surrounding space, while sculpted surfaces reward side views. Colour, year and edition size concern a particular release. Specifications for another size or colour do not establish those of your selection.

Current colour options, prices and availability appear on the selected product cards.

Art gifts for collectors and design enthusiasts

For a design enthusiast, a favourite artist, a character’s humour or an unusual form can guide the choice. For a collector, compare the specific edition with pieces they already own. Check edition size, material and included items in the selected listing.

Art objects in an interior

Interior designers can begin by defining the object’s role: a console accent, a standalone sculpture or a functional piece. Compare its dimensions with the intended location and leave space to appreciate the silhouette. For lamps and other functional objects, also check the specifications of the particular model.
