About the work We Pint Money
We Pint Money is a screenprint by 2CHOEY with gloss varnish on paper. A printing press releases streams of banknotes, interrupted by the artist’s familiar hand and finger imagery. Money becomes the main movement of the composition rather than a small accessory.
Vertical strips contrast with the dark body of the press. Colour accents direct the eye from the mechanism to the banknotes, suggesting an ironic reading of repetition, value and consumption.
