About Astro Boy DJ Rainbow Edition
Astro Boy DJ Rainbow Edition is a collectible vinyl ToyQube figure featuring Osamu Tezuka’s character. Astro Boy holds his hands beside large headphones as though listening to a favourite track. The headphones form part of the sculptural design.
Colour and a musical image
Rainbow transitions move from an orange head through a yellow and green torso to blue legs. Closed eyes and hands beside the headphones suggest concentration on music. Colour changes Astro Boy’s familiar image while pointed hair and large boots remain recognisable.
Astro Boy and ToyQube
Astro Boy is a robot with human feelings created by manga artist Osamu Tezuka. ToyQube brings him into a world of urban habits and music: the DJ version continues themes from the City Series. It offers another interpretation than Chrome Hoodie, where clothing and mirror-like finishes take centre stage.
