The Missing Tail 400%

MEGA CRYBABY The Missing Tail 400% is a collectible POP MART figure featuring a character by Thai artist Mod-Nisa Srikamdee. A fluffy pink textile costume frames a smooth face with large white tears. The hood’s round ears, painted eyes and red nose create a second expressive face above the character’s head.

Two faces interact in this design. CRYBABY looks out from beneath the hood, while the animal costume has an expression of its own. A lighter oval on the belly, a small cross and a red bow at the neck add detail to the almost monochrome silhouette. A pale cross-shaped patch on the back visually echoes the theme of the name The Missing Tail.

Soft texture and open emotion

The combination of a sculpted face and textiles makes contrast part of the concept. Large tears and frowning eyebrows remain visible amid the pink texture, while the fluffy costume softens the stern expression. With the hood lowered, CRYBABY’s face takes centre stage; raising it changes the silhouette and the relationship between the two character-like faces.

The Missing Tail was presented in the context of POP MART Thailand’s first-anniversary celebrations in 2024. The brand’s announcement named the release among the Thailand Limited collections. This history connects the figure to the development of original art toys in Thailand while preserving its central theme: the right to be vulnerable and express one’s feelings.

Mod-Nisa Srikamdee and CRYBABY

The artist, introduced by POP MART as Molly, created the first CRYBABY design in 2017. For her, tears express different experiences rather than sadness alone. The character can change costumes and textures while retaining expressive cheeks, eyebrows and eyes. The artist defines this emotional language; POP MART produces the collectible figure.
