Tetris 400%

MEGA SPACE MOLLY Tetris 400% is a POP MART art toy bringing the famous game’s coloured blocks into MOLLY’s transparent spacesuit. Pale gloves, boots and tubes frame the bright internal composition. The figure retains Kenny Wong’s character’s large turquoise eyes, while Tetris geometry shapes the body graphics and individual costume details.

Transparency reveals the design’s construction. Coloured blocks are visible through the front panel and rear unit, with small shapes continuing onto the pale boots and helmet. Different viewpoints allow comparison between the dense geometry inside and the rounded shapes of the head, gloves and tubes.

From playing field to art toy

Tetris is recognisable through shapes assembled from squares. On screen, they form combinations on a playing field; here, that language of colour and geometry becomes part of a three-dimensional object. The logo on the back of the helmet reinforces the connection with the game while preserving MEGA SPACE MOLLY’s recognisable silhouette.

The official Tetris website presents this release as MEGA SPACE MOLLY 400% TETRIS and gives the date as 1 September 2023. The collaboration combines Kenny Wong’s character with Tetris imagery, while POP MART manufactures the figure. It is a distinct collectible design rather than a gaming device.

The character’s creator

Hong Kong artist and designer Kenny Wong created MOLLY in 2006. Large eyes, short hair and distinctively pursed lips keep her recognisable across different costumes. MEGA SPACE MOLLY gives the character an astronaut’s form: a rounded helmet, gloves and spacesuit components become the foundation for new designs.
