ROCK — Yellow

ROCK Yellow is a vinyl art toy by Bangkok artist 2CHOEY. The puppy with a fist instead of a muzzle belongs to the Fingies world: the artist brings hand gestures into familiar pop-culture images. This colour version was released in an edition of 100.

A yellow outfit, matching cap and contrasting dark details give ROCK Yellow a vivid palette. Rounded paws and a tail retain the puppy image, but a clenched fist replaces its muzzle.

ROCK and the Fingies world

ROCK’s defining feature is a hand that becomes the character’s face. From a distance, the silhouette seems cute and familiar; closer inspection reveals an unexpected shape. This shift in perception combines humour with 2CHOEY’s recognisable approach.

Colours change the mood of the work without changing its central idea. Beside other ROCK figures this version forms a series, while on its own it retains enough detail to stand as an independent object.
