About the work ASTUROBOY
ASTUROBOY is an Arkiv Vilmansa print made using hand-pulled serigraphy. A rounded cartoon-like character stands before flowing bands of colour. The bold outline and softened proportions make the figure distinct from a conventional portrait.
The image connects the visual language of character design with a work intended for the wall. The coloured background gives the figure a sense of movement, while the quiet pose keeps attention on its face and hands. This is a paper edition, not a three-dimensional toy.
