The artist and character

Thai artist Mod-Nisa Srikamdee, introduced by POP MART as Molly, created CRYBABY. The first design appeared in 2017. Her work centres on openness to emotion: tears can accompany joy, relief or parting as well as sadness. Large cheeks, lowered eyebrows and expressive eyes communicate this idea without words.
