Shiny Shiny · Black

CRYBABY Shiny Shiny Black is a collectible POP MART plush doll featuring Mod-Nisa Srikamdee’s character. A black dress with a layered skirt, an ornament at the neck and a long-eared headband create a stage-inspired look. Large white tears stand out against the dark outfit and reddish-brown hair.

This Shiny Shiny version plays with contrasting textures. The fluffy top of the headband differs from the smoother face, while the skirt’s light layers broaden the lower silhouette. Small pale details at the collar add rhythm. The costume suggests ballet or celebration, while the sad expression preserves CRYBABY’s personality.

Celebratory clothing and honest emotions

Rather than a conventionally smiling doll, this character does not hide its feelings. The name Shiny Shiny and the costume’s stage-inspired accents do not erase the tears. This combination of elegance and vulnerability makes the design an interesting addition to a contemporary designer-toy collection.

The creator of CRYBABY

Thai artist Mod-Nisa Srikamdee, introduced by POP MART as Molly, created CRYBABY. The first design appeared in 2017. Her work centres on openness to emotion: tears can accompany joy, relief or parting as well as sadness. Large cheeks, lowered eyebrows and expressive eyes communicate this idea without words.

The artist defines the character, while POP MART produces its collectible interpretations. Discover more about her and the idea behind CRYBABY in her official POP MART profile.
