Cheer Up, Baby!

CRYBABY Cheer Up, Baby! is a collectible POP MART plush doll featuring Mod-Nisa Srikamdee’s character. Its silhouette moves from red hair and an orange forehead through yellow cheeks, a green torso and blue legs to purple feet. Against this bright background, large white tears become the main graphic accent.

Broad bands of colour wrap around the whole figure. The rear view makes the changing shades and rounded head particularly clear. From the front, rosy cheeks, eyebrows raised towards the bridge of the nose and a small mouth draw the eye. The fluffy surface softens the saturated colours and makes the outline less sharp.

Support without demanding a smile

The name Cheer Up, Baby! sounds like a message to someone who needs support. Yet the character continues to cry: the positive palette does not deny its feelings. The combination can suggest that encouragement means being present rather than demanding an immediate smile.

The rainbow version adds a colour accent among quieter art toys. It preserves CRYBABY’s recognisable expression while changing the mood through palette and texture. Additional photographs allow comparison of the front and rear views and show the doll held in someone’s hands.

The creator of CRYBABY

Thai artist Mod-Nisa Srikamdee, introduced by POP MART as Molly, created CRYBABY. The first design appeared in 2017. Her work centres on openness to emotion: tears can accompany joy, relief or parting as well as sadness. Large cheeks, lowered eyebrows and expressive eyes communicate this idea without words.

The artist defines the character, while POP MART produces its collectible interpretations. Discover more about her and the idea behind CRYBABY in her official POP MART profile.
