About Gromit
Gromit is a MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK 1000% based on the dog from Aardman’s Wallace & Gromit. A pale body, dark ears and nose preserve his understated expression. Since Gromit communicates through gaze and movement in the films, the eyes are central to this static interpretation. MEDICOM TOY’s official blog confirms sales of the 1000% version in July 2021.
Participants and concept
Nick Park created Wallace & Gromit at Aardman. Gromit needs no spoken lines to express doubt, patience or irony, and that economy makes him an interesting subject for a physical interpretation. The character’s origin is distinct from the manufacturer: Aardman supplies the imagery, while MEDICOM TOY produces the collectible BE@RBRICK.
