Snoopy as Joe Cool wears round black sunglasses and a black sweater with the historic Chicago White Sox emblem: a white sock inside a diamond. The white face, black ear markings and small nose retain the PEANUTS character’s features within the BE@RBRICK form. The collaboration between MLB, PEANUTS and MEDICOM TOY brings baseball imagery together with Charles Schulz’s comic-strip character. The official page identifies the 100% + 400% set as the second MLB×PEANUTS 2024 release and confirms sales from 21September 2024.

Collaboration and design

Translating an animated character onto the BE@RBRICK platform changes its proportions while retaining its most important cues: facial expression, colour and clothing details. MEDICOM TOY works with those recognisable signs rather than literally reproducing the on-screen model. Placing the object beside an illustration makes the design decisions especially clear: some details remain, while others give way to the bear shape. It also connects a personal attachment to animation with a collection of designer figures.
