BE@RBRICK Tweety Space Jam 400% + 100%

Tweety in a blue Tune Squad uniform combines the canary’s yellow colour, large blue eyes and orange feet. Basketball clothing places the Looney Tunes character in the Space Jam context, while the bear ears add a playful change of form. Unlike classic Tweety without sportswear, the team uniform becomes this design’s central motif. The large and small figures repeat the colour scheme. Comparing the clothing in photographs matters because MEDICOM TOY has issued several different interpretations of Tweety.

Collaboration and design

Translating an animated character onto the BE@RBRICK platform changes its proportions while retaining its most important cues: facial expression, colour and clothing details. MEDICOM TOY works with those recognisable signs rather than literally reproducing the on-screen model. Placing the object beside an illustration makes the design decisions especially clear: some details remain, while others give way to the bear shape. It also connects a personal attachment to animation with a collection of designer figures.
