About Cookie Monster Costume Ver. 2.0
BE@RBRICK Cookie Monster Costume Ver. 2.0 brings the Sesame Street character into a textured blue costume. Large pale eyes and a wide dark mouth remain the defining features. Unlike smooth printed versions, this design relies on its surface to change the character of the familiar silhouette.
Cookie Monster belongs to Sesame Street and Sesame Workshop. MEDICOM TOY announced Costume Ver. 2.0 for September 2024. The 2.0 distinguishes the costume version rather than indicating the number of figures; this product is offered as an individual 400% figure.
It makes an interesting comparison with red Elmo Chrome, translating the same television world through very different textures. The blue surface offers softer reflections and introduces material contrast into a display. Some room around the head keeps the distinctive eye expression clearly visible.
