BE@RBRICK MY FIRST B@BY ANREALAGE Ver. 400% + 100%

The ANREALAGE version joins the MY FIRST B@BY concept with ANREALAGE’s experimental approach to fashion. A pale, translucent exterior carries multicoloured speckles, while the clear belly reveals the beads inside. A black @ on the forehead and B@BY lettering remain legible within the scattered decoration. Colour is distributed in small marks rather than large contrasting panels. This collaboration between CHIAKI (CIROL & Co.), ANREALAGE and MEDICOM TOY was released in August 2023.

Collaboration and design

CHIAKI (CIROL & Co.) created the MY FIRST B@BY series. Its recognisable feature is a transparent belly containing colourful beads. This shifts attention from an entirely printed exterior to the relationship between the outside surface and what can be seen within. Different editions pair that idea with their own palette or pattern. Soft, indirect lighting is useful for displaying the transparent and opaque sections together without allowing strong reflections to obscure the design.

In the gallery, look separately at the ear shape, head pattern and transparent insert. These features help distinguish related seasonal editions and animal platforms.
