Create vs Destroy — Yellow Pencil

Create vs Destroy — Yellow Pencil is a print by Gongkan on paper. A yellow pencil and a rocket meet at a black portal: similar elongated forms take on opposing functions. A simple blue background keeps attention on their relationship.

The vertical axis joins the two objects without a busy surrounding scene. The title names the opposition, while the image leaves room to consider the choice between a creative and a destructive act. The white frame continues the print’s restrained presentation.
