The Light & The Darkness

The Light & The Darkness is a collectible print by Gongkan, hand-pulled in 17 colours on Fabriano Artistico cotton paper. Two figures reach towards one another through light and dark portals, bringing the gesture of connection to the centre of the image.

Orange and blue, white and black bring opposites into contact. The scene can be read as support across a distance. Its glow-in-the-dark quality is a feature of the printed edition confirmed by the publisher, rather than a digital effect applied to the photograph.
