Labubu Sponge Bob

Labubu Sponge Bob is a collectible Kasing Lung figure combining SpongeBob’s yellow image with LABUBU’s long ears. A round head, large eyes, short trousers and slender legs create different proportions from the rectangular cartoon character.

Two recognisable images

The head silhouette is the most noticeable change. Ears immediately recall Kasing Lung’s world, while the spotted yellow surface, shirt and tie suggest SpongeBob. Compare this work with other artists’ reinterpretations of the same character: familiar colour remains while the form changes.
