About the work Love Under Lock and Key
Love Under Lock and Key is a screenprint by 2CHOEY on paper. Daisy holds Donald in a cage, while a heart-shaped key changes the tone of the familiar cartoon scene. The pink background feels gentle, yet the image invites an ironic reading of intimacy and possession.
The gestures matter as much as the characters. The contrast between the light drawing and the enclosed cage gives the scene an ambiguous mood. This is a visual reading of the composition rather than a statement attributed to the artist.
