About Astro Boy DJ Champagne Edition
Astro Boy DJ Champagne Edition is a collectible vinyl ToyQube figure featuring Osamu Tezuka’s character. Astro Boy holds his hands beside large headphones as though listening to a favourite track. The headphones form part of the sculptural design.
Colour and a musical image
Metallic gold and silver tones combine with translucent surfaces. ToyQube connects the vinyl’s bubbles, striations and swirls with a glass of champagne. A calm pose and closed eyes contrast with the finish’s shine, while reflections emphasise the head, hands and boots.
Astro Boy and ToyQube
Astro Boy is a robot with human feelings created by manga artist Osamu Tezuka. ToyQube brings him into a world of urban habits and music: the DJ version continues themes from the City Series. It offers another interpretation than Chrome Hoodie, where clothing and mirror-like finishes take centre stage.
