Kakkoii Taiketsu Panda 23 combines red, white and black with sports-footwear details. Lacing across the chest translates sneaker construction onto a panda’s body, with a basketball-inspired palette making the reference especially clear.

With Kakkoii Taiketsu, Fools Paradise uses the language of sneaker design to create art toys. Panels, contours and lacing remain recognisable, but come together as a character rather than a piece of footwear.

Kakkoii Taiketsu appears as a separate series in the official Fools Paradise store. The studio transfers recognisable footwear elements into another form: details with a practical role in a sneaker become decorative parts of a character. This explains the combination of a soft, rounded silhouette with clearly defined panels and lacing. In Panda 23, the sporting reference emerges through the placement of the lacing and contrasting panels.
