Joker 400%

MEGA SPACE MOLLY Joker 400% is a collectible POP MART art toy giving Kenny Wong’s character the recognisable features of the Joker from the DC universe. A green helmet, purple costume, golden tubes and a broad red smile create a contrasting design. For this 400% release, the manufacturer lists PVC, ABS and PC and a height of 30 cm.

The interpretation relies on colour and expression. Bright green eyes and a painted smile heighten the theatrical quality of MOLLY’s face, while white gloves and pale boots set the silhouette apart from the saturated costume. The Joker appears on the back of the helmet, and the golden A/B unit echoes the tubes.

The Joker in a spacesuit

DC describes the Joker as Batman’s unpredictable adversary; the character first appeared in Batman #1 in 1940. His green hair, pale face and smile became recognisable visual signs. Here, those motifs move onto an astronaut’s form, making the character legible without recreating a particular comic scene.

The collaboration connects designer toys with comic-book culture. MOLLY retains her proportions and eye expression, while the palette and graphics establish the Joker role. Staged gallery compositions show the figure in an imaginary city at night and reveal how the face appears from different angles.

Kenny Wong and MOLLY

Hong Kong artist and designer Kenny Wong created MOLLY in 2006. Large eyes, short hair and distinctively pursed lips keep her recognisable across different costumes. MEGA SPACE MOLLY gives the character an astronaut’s form: a rounded helmet, gloves and spacesuit components become the foundation for new designs.
