About Elvis Presley
BE@RBRICK Andy Warhol’s Elvis Presley 1000% is a MEDICOM TOY figure featuring Warhol’s Triple Elvis imagery. Black-and-white fragments repeat across the head, body, arms and legs. A printed signature graphic appears on the back; it is part of the decoration rather than a handwritten autograph.
The box identifies the source as Triple Elvis, 1963. Warhol’s Elvis paintings use the singer’s cowboy image from Flaming Star (1960), transforming a film publicity image through repetition. The Elvis paintings were shown at Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles in 1963. Their repeated figure reads both as a portrait of a performer and as a reproduced media image.
On the BE@RBRICK, this composition extends beyond the rectangle of a canvas. Rounded surfaces and articulated sections divide the print into fragments, giving the front and back different readings. The pale base and black graphics preserve the restrained palette while allowing variations in the scale and arrangement of the silhouette.
Warhol is the artist behind the imagery, Elvis Presley is its subject, and MEDICOM TOY is the collectible’s manufacturer. The official product credits name the Andy Warhol Foundation and Elvis Presley Enterprises / ABG EPE IP LLC. This edition was released in March 2021. Gallery photographs also show the box, which repeats the Triple Elvis motif and printed artist identification.
