BE@RBRICK Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe #2 1000% is a MEDICOM TOY collectible carrying Marilyn Monroe portraits after Andy Warhol. Pink areas, yellow hair and turquoise faces cover the 70 cm figure. Repeated images continue across its head, torso and limbs, with a glossy surface emphasising their colour contrasts.

Warhol began using Monroe’s image in 1962, taking a publicity photograph for Niagara (1953) as his starting point. Cropping and repeating the face in different colour combinations made it both a portrait and a mass-media image. Here, that serial approach moves from a flat surface onto a bear-shaped object that can be viewed from every side.

This is the second Marilyn Monroe release in the MEDICOM TOY series. Warhol supplies the artistic imagery, Monroe is the subject, and MEDICOM TOY produces the figure. The official credits identify the Andy Warhol Foundation and permission from the Estate of Marilyn Monroe. Printed signature graphics are design elements, not handwritten autographs. The smaller figures shown in the interior photograph are not included with this item.
