BE@RBRICK XLARGE × Sorayama Silver 1000%

BE@RBRICK XLARGE × Sorayama Silver 1000% is the silver-toned version of a collaboration between streetwear label XLARGE and Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama, manufactured by MEDICOM TOY. The XLARGE gorilla identity meets robotic graphics and a mirror-like finish.

Painted joins and panels divide the face, chest and limbs into mechanical-looking sections. Reflections change as the viewer moves, making light part of the presentation. The 2018 release belongs to the continuing relationship between XLARGE’s gorilla imagery and Sorayama’s futuristic treatment of bodies.

XLARGE contributes its streetwear identity and gorilla motif, while Sorayama supplies the robotic interpretation. MEDICOM TOY adapts those graphics to the BE@RBRICK platform. The result differs from a freestanding Robot Gorilla bust: rounded ears and segmented bear proportions remain visible beneath the mechanical decoration.

Silver also offers a direct comparison with the Gold version in our collection. The shared sculptural language makes it possible to compare the effect of the surface treatment without confusing colour variants or importing the edition size of other objects from the wider collaboration.
