AV-001LV

AV-001LV is a collectible lamp sculpture by Futura 2000 from the Pointman series. An elongated head, slender limbs and black silhouette suggest a fantastical character, while red light changes the work’s mood after dark.

AV-001LV: Pointman as a light object

Pointman is a central image in Futura’s practice: a robot-like figure expressing his interest in abstraction and science fiction. In this version the character becomes a light object. Switched off, it reads through contour and proportions; illuminated, it combines a dark form with a red glow.

The 2023 release is limited to 500 examples. This artist’s edition offers an introduction to the sculptural side of his practice.
