Disney 100 Years

MEGA SPACE MOLLY Disney 100 Years is an anniversary interpretation of MOLLY celebrating Disney’s centenary. Round red ears recall Mickey Mouse, gold-coloured lines accent the black-and-red spacesuit, and transparent sections reveal layered graphics. The release’s box bears the name MEGA SPACE MOLLY Disney 100th Anniversary.

The design reveals itself through its details. Disney characters appear across the costume, and the artwork continues into MOLLY’s eyes. Her familiar gaze becomes part of the anniversary composition. Red ears and tubes connect the black surfaces, while a gold stripe on the helmet adds a vertical accent.

Disney’s centenary in a collectible object

The Walt Disney Company celebrated its centenary on 16 October 2023, tracing its beginnings to 16 October 1923. This historical context explains the Disney 100 designation on the figure and its design. Several recognisable motifs come together in an anniversary interpretation rather than depicting a single animated scene.

The round ears act as a simple Disney symbol, while the spacesuit graphics invite a closer look. With the visor closed, the unified helmet silhouette dominates; raising it reveals MOLLY’s face more clearly. Additional photographs show the front, rear unit and box design.

MOLLY and the collaborators

Hong Kong artist and designer Kenny Wong created MOLLY in 2006. Her recognisable proportions and expression remain the foundation of this transformation. Disney contributes the theme and character motifs, POP MART produces the art toy, and Kenny Wong is the creator of MOLLY.
