About BAPE Camo Shark Gold
BE@RBRICK BAPE Camo Shark Gold brings together two recognisable A BATHING APE codes: camouflage and Shark graphics. The gold palette moves them away from military colours towards a glossy decorative object. Light follows the rounded outline, while the printed pattern remains central to the figure’s identity.
BAPE brings its own Japanese streetwear vocabulary to MEDICOM TOY’s platform. The gold and silver versions of this release appeared in June 2022. This is the separate Camo Shark design and should be distinguished from BAPE × Hajime Sorayama, which uses different graphic treatment and robotic details.
The pair suits a collection built around Japanese streetwear or a display near books on fashion. Comparing it with the Sorayama version reveals how the same Shark motif changes through surface finish and drawing. Soft, indirect light is useful for showing the reflective surfaces without allowing a strong highlight to obscure the pattern.
