BE@RBRICK BAPE × Hajime Sorayama Camo Shark Silver combines a cool reflective finish with precise graphics. Camouflage outlines cross the silver-toned body, while the Shark face takes on a mechanical character. Depending on the viewing angle, either the dark drawing or the reflective silhouette becomes more prominent.
The model brings A BATHING APE’s streetwear vocabulary into Hajime Sorayama’s robotic aesthetic. MEDICOM TOY retains the recognisable BE@RBRICK structure instead of turning it into a literal shark sculpture. This collaboration was released in Japan in July 2021.
Silver suits a collector who prefers a restrained palette but appreciates a detailed surface. Comparing it with Gold is an exercise in changing light rather than changing form. Some separation from a busy backdrop helps prevent reflections from competing with the fine outlined print.
